The forty-first day...It's baaaack!

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 4
The rain that is.

It rained - actually it misted - all day. The sky was a dull, lifeless shade of gray that dampened spirits throughout the entire office and made the workday seem to eek by at a snail's pace. Wow, that was a little more doom and gloom than intended :) At least tomorrow is supposed to be a little sunny (before the rain returns on Thursday, of course). At least I'm off on Friday, so tomorrow is really my Thursday. Yea!

I hope all of you had great days and managed to stay dry :)

Today's pic is of an interesting piece of art that catches my eye each time I pass it. It's all light and wires and I really like it :)

Enjoy the rest of the night everyone!

The fortieth day...MASH :)

Monday, May 4, 2009 4
It's a little funny :) I was reading Children of the 90's blog recently and she did a wonderful post on the MASH game. Remember that oldie, but goodie? I used to love that game as a kid. I think that I liked it so much because I never took it very seriously - though I had some friends that did. I should look them up and see how their looseleaf paper destinies played out :)

Anyway, I was reminded of her post because I walked into the store today, saw this little beauty, and had take a couple of pictures.
Electronic MASH game

No more ripping sheets out of notebooks for today's youth - destiny's gone electronic (with a convenient carry-on hook so you can carry your fortune teller wherever you go). I snapped a pic of the purple one, but rest assured that it also comes in pink and blue. Have a great night everyone!

The thirty-ninth day...

Sunday, May 3, 2009 8
Today was a Singin' in the Rain day :)

I absolutely love that movie, and decided to watch it again - for the seemingly 800th time. It's just a perfect movie. It's got romance, comedy, drama, an excellent story and excellent music. I'll admit it, I am a sucker for a good musical - and this is one of the best.

Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynold's are both amazing, but I have to say that my favorite of the singing trio has always been Donald O'Connor's Cosmo Brown :) He was quite a cutie, and him singing Make 'em Laugh never fails to impress. Any other movie musical fans out there?

Enjoy the rest of the night everyone!

The thirty-eighth day...A lazy day

Saturday, May 2, 2009 0
Today was a wonderfully lazy day filled with TV, DVDs, and sleep :) How was everyone else's day?

I was just remembering Sis 2's Happy Bunny Poster (I love those sarcastic bunnies) and decided to share my two favorite bunnies from the poster. Enjoy :)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everybody!

The thirty-seventh day...

Friday, May 1, 2009 7
Apparently someone had a problem that no one else could help with so they went out and found...
(how much did I love that show when I was a kid - and Knightrider :)

And now begins the countdown to Wolverine! Is it 5:30 yet?
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone :)

The Friday 5

Hey everybody, it’s that time again :)

TGIF, and here’s today’s Friday 5:

1. On May First, 1738, King Kamehameha I was born. What are your impressions of Hawaii?

I have had so many people vacation there and then come back and tell me how absolutely gorgeous it is; so even though hot weather is not my best friend, I would love to visit Hawaii one day.

2. On May First, 1873, Dr. David Livingstone died. When did you last presume something erroneous about someone or something?

I’m not really sure. Hmmm…

3. On May First, 1876, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro debuted. How do you feel about Disney’s animated classic Pinocchio?

I like Pinocchio, but it’s not my favorite Disney classic.

4. May First is Walpurgis Night in Sweden and other parts of northern Europe. When did you last sing in front of an audience?

During karaoke at a great friend’s bachelorette party. So. Much. Fun. I love karaoke :)

5. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are a punk rock cover band. What song’s cover version do you like better than its original version?

There are quite a few, but if I have to choose one right now I’d say that while L’il Wayne’s version of Lollipop is ok, Framing Hanley’s version is 100 times better :)

Have a great Friday everyone!
