The fifty-fifth day...Hello Mister Softee :)

I just went out for a little lunch time walk and noticed that there are currently ice cream trucks parked at the intersections of almost every single block. It's a bit excessive if you ask me, but that's probably only because I didn't want ice cream today :) Now if I had wanted some, and had to actually walk more than a block to get some...no, still excessive.


I did notice, however, that of the four trucks that I passed, only one was actually a Mister Softee truck. I used to love those music-playing Mister Softee trucks - though I haven't actually bought anything from an ice cream truck in years. The other trucks were mostly red and just said 'Ice Cream' - not that anyone seemed to care. Each truck was doing some pretty good business.

Today's weather is absolutely perfect for me. 66°, Sunny, slightly breezy, beautifully wonderful too-bad-I'm-stuck-inside-at-work weather. It should be like this year round. Too bad, the temp is supposed to go up tomorrow :(

I currently live out in the middle of nowhere, so ice cream trucks are not to be found. I can't wait until we move back closer to the city, though. Nothing say summer to me like the faint warbling sounds of the ice cream truck.

Hey Badass :) Well, thankfully no ice cream trucks doesn't have to mean no ice cream, which would be horrible :) You are right though. The sights and sounds of those trucks are definite harbingers of summer - not my favorite season by a long shot.

so cool to see them in The City! For some reason i only think of ice cream trucks in the suburb, but what a flashback to summers as a kid ;)

Hey Lusty :) It is a nice sight to see all the customers in their business suits and whatnot standing in line for a soft serve cone with rainbow sprinkles :)

I love ice cream trucks! 66 here would probably be more on the wintery side though, I don't think the trucks would be out at that point! :)

Hey Children :) Today is even better here weather-wise (81° - yet I didn't see nearly as many ice cream trucks out). Unfortunately, I am stuck at work yet again. Oh well, I just keep thinking Memorial Day weekend...

Hey jeanette :) Yeah, it would be something to see the look on people's faces when someone rolled up to do regular errands in their ice cream truck :)
