As we were leaving the theater, we passed the arcade section, and I couldn't help but notice once of the claw machines. I literally stopped in my tracks when I saw it.
I mean, I understand that the economy is in crisis, businesses are in need of money, etc., but come on. I think that these kinds of machines should cost, at most, 50 cents to a dollar to try your hand at possibly, maybe, potentially winning a dust covered mini stuffed animal - that is if the claw wasn't rigged to not close completely, as they often are. I mean, my man is insanely good at those machines and has won me countless mini dodgeballs, Shrek baby stuffed animals, seven dwarf dolls, etc - I mean he's like freaky skilled at that thing, but 8 quarters? $2.00 per try? You must be kidding!
Enjoy the rest of the night everyone :)

Thanks for the review! The Grouper and I are planning to go see it next week. I loved the book, so I'm sure the movie will be equally as awesome. Enjoy your weekend!
No problem FG :) I hope you both enjoy it. You have a great weekend too!
If Tom Hanks didn't have a massive forehead and the bad hair cut, I'd probably spend the money to see it in theaters. Instead, I'll catch it on DVD.
I might be going to go see this next week. Do you need to watch the Da Vinci to know what's going on?
Yeah $2 a try is definitely an NYC kind of price.
2 dollars per try?? That is crazy. The toys themselves are only worth .50. What is this economy coming to?
Hey Badass :) I actually didn't notice his forehead as much in this one as I did in The Da Vinci Code. There was more going on in this one, and I think I may just be getting used to it.
Hey Moonjava :) I haven't read either of the books, but I don't think that you need to see the first one before this. I was glad that I did mostly because then I knew what to expect with Robert Langdon's thought process and way that he explains absolutely everything. Let me know how you like it.
Hey Art :) Yeah, I know. It's sad that the city is so expensive. The tickets are already like $12.50 each, and the concessions are outrageous.
Hey Children :) It is pretty crazy. And the toys in this machine didn't look so hot.
Have a great Saturday everyone :)
