The two-hundred-and-ninety-eighth to three-hundred-and-seventh days combined...

Hello. How are you? How've you been? It's been an age since I've seen you last :)

The last couple of weeks have been pretty crappy for me unfortunately. All varieties of things ranging from work issues, to crappy doctor news, to horrible back pain - it's been a trip. My back has been killing me all week. It started as a twinge in my left side and has grown steadily since Monday :( Sucks.

I am one of the lucky ones that has an office at work. It is quite the blessing to be able to close the door and take a breath sometimes, but the sentiment is pretty much the same.

And then, my dad decides to scare me by telling me about how he accidentally dropped hi glasses onto the tracks while waiting for the train on morning. Now, anyone who has travelled on the NYC Subway has seen the signs that tell all strap hangers "No matter what situation arises, keep off the tracks. Tracks contain 600 volts of live electricity. If you drop something on the tracks, go to the station booth and tell the agent." Did my dad keep of the tracks? Of course not. Of course he jumped down and retrieved his glasses only to find that...train platforms are A LOT higher than you think they are. My dad's not a short guy, and the platform reached his neck. Another guy tried to help him up, but eventually he just had to walk to the end of the platform and take the stairs back up. I freaked out a bit when he told me. "600 volts of live electricity"? Enormous trains? I just told him to 'please let the glasses be' next time.

I hope you are all having a better week than me :) Have a great night everyone - I'm off to find a heating pad.

Why oh why would he do that? I feel you, I would've been terrified if someone told me that! Eek. Hope your week gets better though! I love that sign by the way, even though I've only worked in a cube temporarily, I totally understand!

Hey miss cindy :) I was terrified, but more relieved that he was ok :) Office work is hard - I think it may be all the monotony and constantly ringing phones.

Have an excellent day!

Oh my gosh. I AM so glad he was ok! That is scary! All that electricity! And those super big trains. Jimminy Crickets!
