"Hi,
When is a good time to sit with [said co-worker] to go over her [files]. It will only be about 5 or 6 files. Thanks"
Um...what? I got that and then met with said co-worker for about 20 minutes to go over her files. Not one time, did she mention a leave of absence. It was just 'these will be your files. Thanks. Bye now.' It wasn't until 2:54pm that she sent out two Department-wide e-mails. The first said that she would be leaving for the day (at 3pm). The second said that today was her last day in the office and that she would be back in mid-October. Did I mention that every single file that was re-assigned to me needs work? I hope I don't have too many questions since she won't be there. This re-assignment business is something that should have been done at least a week ago, so that any questions could be asked and answered.
Did I mention that I have 6 projects of my own that are starting in the next two weeks?
Yeah, this is going to be barrel full-o-monkeys fun - I can tell. A barrel full of pissed, tired and overworked monkeys.
Anyway, to de-stress, I took a walk over to Toys-R-Us and set up this scene on one of the displays :)
I saw this guy setting up a window display on my way back. He was using an empty frame to push the other one's into place.
It didn't look fun...and I hope the display looks better when it's done.
Have a wonderful night everyone!
