The hundred-and-eighth and hundred-and-ninth days combined...

Whenever I go to Target I like to walk past the boardgames. I really want to pick up the electronic, credit card versions of Monopoly and The Game of Life, but that will have to wait until the price drops significantly. Anyway, this is one of the games that I saw yesterday - The Fancy Nancy Posh Bedroom Game.

According to BoardGameGeek.com, in this game, players compete to help Fancy Nancy transform her bedroom from plain to posh! Players bring in her boas, ribbons, tiaras and other fancy accessories....the first player to complete the posh bedroom makeover wins. Based on the best selling children's picture books by Jane O'Connor. 2 to 4 players. Game Contents: 1 Color Die, 4 Bedroom Game Boards,40 Posh Cards, including: 14 Purple "Let's Get Fancy!" Cards, 18 Pink "Accessories!" Cards, 8 Blue "Oops!" Cards.

I was just caught by the the fact that the bottom of the box says "Posh is a fancy word for fancy!" It's not even that funny, but that didn't stop me from laughing about it - in the middle of the aisle - for a good five minutes.

I hope everyone's weekend is going well :)

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone!

Haha, I bet kids don't even read the box... that slogan is for the pure entertainment of the adults. Hope no one thought you were a crazy!

Hey Jeanette :) I agree. The kids probably just see the colorful box, but I was in hysterics. As for if they thought I was crazy, I wish I could say this was the first time that I have burst out laughing in Target - but it's not. The workers are used to my antics by now :)

Hey Children :) The board games today sure are a lot different from the ones I had growing up. Now kids compete to see how well they can pimp their space :)

Have a wonderful day!

"Posh is a fancy word for fancy!"

I'm sorry, but that is HILARIOUS.

Fidgeting Gidget

I LOVE Fancy Nancy. When I was teaching third grade, I read the Fancy Nancy book (yes, and there's more than one, and I own them) to my class, and the author used lots of fancy words. I put a spin on that and told my kids to DRESS UP their writing with fancy words like Fancy Nancy.

Am I a geek or what?

Hey LiLu :) It really is :) It's just such a funny phrase to say or read.

Hey FG :) That is too adorable :) How did their assignments come out?

Have a splendid day!
