The hundred-and-twenty-second and hundred-and-twenty-third days combined...

How is the weekend going for everyone? Mine is going okay. I didn't get to do laundry, which means that I'll just have that much more laundry to do next week; but I might get my hair done today so that's a good thing.

Yesterday, I stopped in Target to pick up a few things. While there Sis 2 and I spotted these.

At first, I was disgusted as I thought that someone had left their trash on the shelf (it wouldn't be the first time) - but then we looked closer. This wasn't trash - they were pencil cases made of recycled drink pouches and chip bags (made by Terracycle, Inc). I, of course, understand the need for recycling, but I'm not a fan of these. Even just touching them to position them for this picture felt weird. Sis 2 wasn't a fan either. But, then again, we aren't really the target audience for the cases. There were some kids running around that seemed to really get a kick out of them.

Has anyone seen these before (or any other Terracycle products)?

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Haha never seen those before. That's interesting. I'm not really a fan of them either, though like you said, I don't think I'm the exact target audience for them lol.

But if they can successfully get little kids to buy this stuff, well then I'm all for the cause. Less waste.

Jeanette

I have never seen those before, but I know you can buy belts and stuff made from capri sun packages on Ebay.

Hey Lee :) That's true. Less waste is always a positive thing.

Hey Jeanette :) I didn't know about the belts and other stuff either. Wow, one person's trash is becoming another person's treasure all over the place :)

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I've never heard of those. I don't have a problem with them recycling them, but perhaps I'd be more okay with consuming them out of a recycled pouch if I didn't know it was recycled.

Hey Badass :) These were just pencil cases, but I never thought of that. I love Capri Sun, so I'm hoping the company isn't using recycled pouches for the drinks. Seriously, those drinks taste like candy - yes, I'm a grown up :)

Have a wonderful Tuesday!
