The hundred-and-thirty-third day...

A few weeks ago, I found out that I was one of three finalists for the Spotlight on Excellence award at work. The awards ceremony was held today. It was pretty cool to be a finalist and know that my colleagues nominated and voted for me. I didn't win, but the winner was very deserving. He's a cool guy, and great worker and he has been with the Company for quite some time. So congrats to him. Is it wrong that I was a little saddened by not winning? I think I deserved it, but at least I got to the finals, right?

Anywho, I went to Au Bon Pain during lunch - I needed a little something sweet.

I opted for the delicious pecan roll goodness in the top left :)

I really wanted the monkey bread that they make, but I haven't seen it there in a while. I hope they haven't stopped making it, because it is delicious x2. I'll be honest, I also bought a cookie and some pita chips to bring home. That was the intention anyway - I ended up eating the cookie and brought the pecan bun and chips home to share - to the delight of Sis 1 and Sis 2. The cashier just looked at me when I approached her. I could tell that her jaw wanted to drop, but she regained her composure and quickly asked me if I would like a bag. The words to carry your ridiculous amount of junk food remained unspoken :)

And then, on the way back to the office, I had to pass this van - parked right in front of my building. They must have heard that I was buying too much junk food.

Apparently, they were handing out samples of the water yesterday and from what I've heard it tastes horrible. I think I'll stick with regular old H2O, thanks.

On a completely unrelated note, I am really sick of seeing this picture all over the place. I do not need to see a nude Terrell Owens all over the place. Seriously.
