The sixty-third day...(a little belated)

Thursday, May 28, 2009
Sorry for the belated post, but I was so tired that I just about collapsed when I got home last night.

Anyway, I saw a new Train of Thought sign on the bus the other day - Yea! It's a little ridiculous how excited I am to see new ones, but I enjoy seeing who the choose to quote :)

If we could first know where we are and
whither we are tending, we could better
judge what to do and how to do it.
Abraham Lincoln, "House Divided" Speech, 1858

If anyone is interested in reading more of the speech, you can head over to The History Place and check it out.

A few days after seeing this ToT sign, I was coming home on the bus and saw it again. It had fallen out of place and someone has placed it in the space beside my seat. I was tempted to ask the bus driver if I could take it, but it had smudges of who-knows-what all over it so I passed. Oh well.

Have a great morning everyone :)

So jealous! DC's ads are all outdated, the one on my metro car this morning was for a walkathon from April.

When I went to NYC this winter the back of my MTA/ Subway card had a Shakespeare quote. Is that normal too?

If so I am extra jealous. I mean the pandas on ours are cute and all...but this lusty reader would prefer a quote by the Bard!

Hey Lusty :) The Metrocards have all sorts of things on their back sides, but I've never had a Shakespeare one. Usually mine have advertisements or Go Green kind of things. That panda sounds cute though - they're so adorable :)

Have a great Thursday!

I'm with Lusty- our ads are so old its funny. Except they're not funny at all.

Double fail.

Hey LiLu :) Haha, sorry about your ads :) It is nice to have a little something new to read on public transportation - though we also have our fair share of outdated event listings that stay up for months on end.
