Well, I was doing some cleaning earlier today, and when I ran across the book I knew that I had to try and find it online. So, enjoy all you Tim Burton story fans out there :)
After finding that, I decided to track down the Gashlycrumb Tinies alphabet (by Edward Gorey). It's pretty Tim Burton-esque in it's own right (or would Burton be considered Gorey-esque?). Anyway, enjoy :)

Burton as Gorey-esque definitely. I'd love to do the same kind of illustrations to some Edgar Allan Poe tales...
Not a big Tim Burton fan, I will have to read more of his work:)

Gorey and Burton are two of my favorite artists/writers. Most of my artwork was influenced by Gorey. It's why I decided to specialize in pen and ink at art school. Too bad he died before I could meet him. And yes, Oyster boy is sad and funny and tragic all at once.
I checked out some of your illustrations. They are amazing, and I can definitely see what you mean about being influenced by Gorey. Very nice, and it is always great to meet another Gorey/Burton fan :) Thanks for stopping by!
