The sixteenth day...

Friday, April 10, 2009
I fully intended on sleeping late today – and I mean really late. I didn’t set my alarm and had made up my mind that I wasn’t going to get out of bed before 1, maybe 2pm. However, sister 1 asked me to follow her over to New York Hospital Queens for her interview. I, of course, said yes. She’s my sis :) She’s pre-med at school and looking to obtain some more volunteer experience in the field. She thought that this interview was going to be more serious, but apparently, it was just a type of make-sure-you’re-not-a-completely-insane-person formality. I sat down in the waiting room and started to read my newest book, Pink Slip Party by Cara Lockwood, while my sis went to speak with the Director. Good book, but I was so tired that I started to fall asleep in my chair. Just when I was about to go and check her status, she called to let me know she was done. It seemed a bit longer but, in actuality, we were out of there in about an hour and a half. Sister 1 starts her volunteer gig at the end of May, I believe. Yea!

After that we made a spur of the moment decision to get some lunch before heading back home. We settled on pizza, and it was delicious.
Delicious
We each had a slice of lasagna pizza; the slices were enormous – and did I mention that they were Delicious, with a capital D. And, I mean lasagna pizza? Amazing, and it was only 1 of the, at least, 19 different kinds of specialty pizzas they had there.
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Next time I go there, I’ll have to try the BBQ Chicken or Chicken Caesar Salad pizza. When we were walking back to the bus, we passed a store that had a lot of religious statues in the window. Most of them were pretty nice, but I couldn't get over why this statue looks this way. He's missing a hand, and what's with the horn? Strange.

Have a great day everybody :)

I'd say that statue is just down-right creepy!

Lol, yeah I backed away as soon as the picture was snapped. The eyes seem to be open really wide too. It's weird, especially since the other statues on display seemed okay.
